Homemade Cereal Bars (v) (vg) (gf) (df)

20 minute recipe from start to finish (including cooking time)

Per bar (serves 11): 98 calories
(2.7g Protein, 18.4g Carbohydrates, 1.2g of Fat)

Ingredients:

3 medium bananas - mashed well (230-250g)
2 tbsp zero calorie syrup - Maple Syrup (Skinny Food Co)
250g Gluten Free Rolled Oats
50g Currants / Sultanas

Equipment:

Small Bowl
Baking Tin / Dish

Method:

Pre heat your overn to 180C.

Mash your banana in a bowl, till a mushy wet consistency. Add all the oats,  and syrup into the bowl and mix thoroughly. Then add the currants into the mixture and mix through. You want your texture to be slightly wet to touch, so add more syrup if too dry and more oats if too wet.

Line a baking tin with grease proof paper, and add all the mixture I use an 8-10 inch tray as you want the depth to be quite thick about 0.5 -1cm for your cereal bars.

Place in the middle of the oven for 12 minutes, take out and leave to cool. Slice cut and enjoy!

Different Flavours

You can swap the flavours in this recipe really easily and change the syrup flavour or add different ingredients. Other flavours I like are:

- Peanut Butter and Banana
- Banana & Coconut
- Choc Chip
- Cherry
